It's Time to Come Out!

HERE ARE SOME WELL KNOWN TRUTHS:

• Most Christians are Republican
• Most Blacks are Democrat
• All Democrats support Abortion and Gay Marriage
• All Republicans want tax breaks for the rich and are racist 

Are these statements really true!?

Are they just the facts of our two main political parties? 

And do we really have to accept these facts, if they are indeed true?

The truth of the matter is that these statements are "biases" - or beliefs based upon preconceived notions, thoughts or understandings.

And the problem is, that while these statements are not true, many people live, act, react and feel as though they are and therefore they become "stereotypes" - and so it is often assumed that people of a particular ethnicity or religion will believe or vote a certain way.

So, here's what is TRUE:

• Everybody needs work
• Everybody wants safe neighborhoods
• Everybody needs affordable healthcare
• Everybody wants lower taxes
• And EVERYBODY wants to live their lives according to what's important to them, without the government interfering - whether they are straight, gay, single, married, students or the elderly, of every ethnicity, religion or economic status.

That's called "Life; Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness." 

Therefore, here are the FACTS: What is important to one group of people is not what's important to the next group of people. And realistically, the government can't please everyone and it's hard to determine if they're trying at all!

And so unfortunately what ends up happening is what we want collides with what the government says and they both slam into the stereotypes that exist about all of us!

Well... I'm coming out of it all!  And... I suggest you do too!

• It's time to come out of the stereotypes
• It's time to come out of the myths
• It's time to come out of the facts
• And it's time to live out the truth - no matter what political party you vote from!

- ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A CHRISTIAN 
- AND A DEMOCRAT 
- AND A PERSON OF COLOR

Because you have a voice that is not heard.  You are living under silent assumptions.  Your Christian brothers and sisters assume they know how you feel.  Your political party assumes they know how you vote. 

THE WORLD ASSUMES THEY KNOW WHAT YOU BELIEVE.

But you have a spiritual and political responsibility to come out of the closet and provide balance to your party through your faith.  And as Democrats, it's time to be BOLD in our faith:

Believing the Word - no matter how it contradicts either party's stance
Obedient to the Will of God - regardless of Christian peer pressure
Loving to all people and voting from a position of God's love
Dedicated to infiltrating the Democratic party with God's truth and voting for candidates that BOLDLY believe in it!

Acts 4:29
"And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto your servants, that with all boldness they may speak your word."

It will take LOVE; it will take EDUCATION; it will take PRAYER; and it will take patience - but I pray that we all can vote with the BOLDness of our Christian convictions in elections to come!

I believe that's how true change for ALL Americans will transpire.
